Where do my ads appear?

Your ads appear in hotspots embedded in professionally produced video content. The hotspot will hover over a particular part of a video and will have keywords associated with it. If these keywords match those required by your campaign, and if all the other parameters meet your pre-determined criteria, then there is a chance your ad will be the one served and potentially clicked. For full transparency, you will be able to see where each click occured on a post-click basis from within your campaign details on the invideous.com website.

 

How do I get more clicks?

You can generate more clicks from your campaign by raising the maximums on your campaign (maximum CPC and maximum daily budget), depending upon which is putting an upper limit on the clicks you receive. You can also try refining your keyword selection. Due to the nature of our ads, we endeavour to serve the ad that is most relevant to the initiating video hotspot. This means that ad appearance isn't solely based on the maximum CPC you are prepared to pay. Instead, an ad will have priority over others is a high proportion of the campaign keywords are a match to the keywords associated with the video hotspot.


How does the ad system work?

The ad system works when a user created campaign is triggered by an in-video hotspot. Each hotspot will have a number of keywords associated with it, for example a hotspot over a wedding bride's attire might be tagged with the keywords 'wedding dress' and 'white wedding dress'. A user creating an ad campaign which they would like shown to viewers expressing an interest in 'wedding dresses' and 'white wedding dresses' should include such phrases as trigger keywords. Each time a hotspot is shown to video viewers an instantaneous auction takes place within our databases to determine which advertising client should have the right to 'own' that click potential. The winner of this auction will be the client where our systems decide that their ad is best going to match the needs of the viewer, whilst simultaneously meeting the desires of the advertiser. It's about the best user experience, not just money.


Is there a minimum cost per click that you'll accept?

Ordinarily, the minimum cost-per-click that our systems allow is USD$0.15 or the international currency equivalent. In some instances however we will work with carefully selected clients on a lower cost basis. What do you do to counter click-fraud?

Unlike conventional text-based PPC advertising, your PPC campaigns with Invideous.com are less likely to be clicked fraudulently as they do not appear in a list that can be accessed by entering a particular search term. Click-through URLs are determined on a dynamic basis drawing upon a number of criteria so a potential fraudster has no way of knowing that a certain in-video hotspot will link through to a specific URL as part of a distinct user's campaign.
