Overview
Invideous is a newly launched platform that redefines a user's in-video experience whilst delivering new, innovative and un-tapped revenue streams for publishers.
The service works as a plugin to most leading online video platforms. A simple 15 minute technical integration sees the application added to players such as Brightcove and the JW Player, bringing hitherto unprecedented tools and sophistication to an untapped area of a user's online experience.
For Publishers
Invideous works as a plugin for a publisher's existing online video platform. The application has four main product suites:
Social Module This enables users to send and receive Twitter and Facebook posts from within the video player. Every outgoing post has a link to the video being viewed which drives traffic back to the content from amongst a user's friends and followers. The social module also includes a playbar that shows who else is watching a video, giving viewers a real sense of shared experience. An instant messenger service is also supplied to facilitate in-video chat.
Micropayments Module This module allows publishers to charge for content on a per-view, per-minute and/or subscription basis. An invideous account works across publisher and across platforms, reducing friction in the free-to-paid conversion process. The module comes with SMS, credit card, PayPal, ClickandBuy and premium phone line payment gateways.
Advertising Module The invideous ad platform creates brand new inventory within your video. By running a series of scripts and human processes over 3rd party published video, our systems identify valuable ad spots within the video and tag these up with metadata and clickable hotspots. Once this process has been completed, each time the video subsequently plays ads are dynamically generated and displayed alongside the relevant video content.
For Advertisers
For advertisers, invideous opens up a vast swath of virgin inventory on content viewed by the most engaged of online audiences.
The unique invideous' ad format identifies key items within video content, and tags these with meta-data and clickable hotspots. When viewers subsequently watch the video, they are served ads on a dynamic basis which have real relevance to the content that they're watching.
Our inventory tends to have no opportunity cost for publishers, appearing as it does 'in-video'. Media costs are therefore very economic. Your ads appear to an engaged and inspired audience. We give viewers a choice of ads and the ability to select a preferred advertiser for certain product categories. This means that not only are clicks low-cost, conversion rates are set fair for the long term.
For Consumers
For viewers of online video, invideous brings a new dimension to their online viewing experience.
The social elements of the invideous plugin allows users to interact with their social network friends and followers from within the video environment. Our social playbar also makes every video view a shared pleasure.
The invideous plugin brings choice to video ads too. By allowing the user to select their preferred supplier of in-video ads, not only does the advertiser benefit through better conversion rates, the user gets an ad from a merchant with whom they'll most likely place an order.
On the micropayments side, our invideous.com wallet is an easy to use, cross publisher and platform tool that allows consumers easy access to the best 'paid' video content on the internet. In can be funded via credit card, SMS, premium phone line, PayPal and ClickandBuy.
